My Monday Must Haves!

Okay so it's Monday and the weekend passed far too quickly for most peoples liking & Friday seems so far away. To cheer myself up I'm starting a weekly post known as 'My Monday Must Haves!'. Because I know I need some motivation and goodies to lust over!

The top image are of the beautiful 'Poulena Suede Lace Up Shoe Boots' which are from MissGuided.co.uk & are £40.99. I love them, I love the Jeffrey Campbell 'Lita' but these are a fab affordable alternative and the colour pop is also very summery!

The bottom left image is the gorgeous 'Light As A Feather' ring from ZaraTaylor.co.uk and is £12.99. I love this ring, personally I'd wear it as a thumb ring because I'm really into them at the moment. I had a hard time picking out one specific item from the Zara Taylor website because everything is so pretty and wearable but this is my favourite right now!

Finally the bottom right image is 'Popcorn Crucifix Oversized Jumper' from inlovewithfasion.com and is £40. I absolutely love it! It's perfect for the awful weather we have been having lately and bang on trend with the crucifix! I'd pair it with a pair of cut out leggings and some biker boots for a rock and roll chic look! Again I'm in love with the inlovewithfashion.com store especially their dresses!

Your face shape & why it's important..

So I spent ages deliberating over what my FIRST proper beauty post should be about & I decided that as I intend to post make-up tips and tricks, I should start from the beginning and look at face shapes!

It's pretty straight forward really and the best way to determine your own shape is to grab a lipstick and draw around the outline of your face with a lipstick. The most common face shapes can be seen below and are a good reference to have when identifying your own.
Okay so if you've read this far you're probably wondering WHY you need to know your faces shape.. Because your face shape can determine which hairstyles will suit you, which glasses will suit you and from my point of view, the most important point which is where you should place make up! By make up I specifically mean shaders and highlighters which enable you to disguise areas you don't like and bring forward the parts you do!

There is various research out there on the world wide web which states that OVAL face shapes are the most 'desirable' but personally I think you should work what you've got! Once you've got your face shape identified check out the specific tips in my next few posts.

Happy drawing folks!
